Need Help Now?
Need commercial tank removal Roanoke businesses can depend on? Appalachian Environmental, LLC removes large petroleum tanks from commercial properties across Roanoke and southwestern Virginia. In this project, our crew excavated large tanks on an active site, and we used heavy equipment, safety barriers, and careful site control throughout.
The photos above show what a commercial tank job can look like. Because these tanks are far larger than a typical home tank, we need the right equipment and a safe work area.
Excavation and Site Safety
First, we open the ground with excavators. Next, we set up cones, caution tape, and barriers so everyone can see the work area. The evening photo, for example, shows the excavation ringed with caution tape.
Removing Large Tanks
These tanks are large and horizontal, so we lift them out with heavy equipment. While the crew works, a vacuum truck on site handles liquids from the excavation.
Water, Soil, and Cleanup
Excavations often collect water, as the photos show. Therefore, we manage the water and check the soil around each tank. If we find contamination, we also provide remediation. Learn more about our commercial petroleum tank removal and remediation services.
Restoring the Site
After the tanks come out, we fill the excavation and prepare the area for use again. The final photos show fill material and a tarp-covered area at this stage.
Who We Work With
Our team works closely with engineers, planners, real estate professionals, and financial institutions. As a result, a tank project can fit around a sale, a loan, or a development schedule.
Help With Costs
If a tank has leaked, you may also get help with cleanup costs. See our Storage Tank Fund reimbursement assistance page for details.
